Soils Limited are pleased to announce that the “Harlow Project” with Essex Highways is now underway.
Headed up by Richard Biney, Soils Limited will supervise the site works which involve traffic management on busy ‘A’ roads and four-way roundabouts (typically during night works under strict time restrictions).
Site works will comprise:
Full utility clearance and surveying of locations and services
Boreholes using cable percussive rig and dynamic windowless sampling rig
Concrete coring locations
Dynamic cone penetrometer tests
Hand excavated slit trial pits to identify services
Logging of cable percussive &windowless sampler boreholes in accordance with BS5930:2015
Logging of road cores
Chemical Laboratory Analysis
Geotechnical Laboratory Analysis
Pavement investigation reporting
Soils Limited’s in-house surveying team is undertaking the full GPR survey and the utility mapping.
The proposal involved converting the Town Hall Annexe building into block of apartments with two storey floor extension creating one, two and three-bed homes, with a total of 185 new homes
A robust intrusive ground investigation, designed to obtain geological, geotechnical and geo-environmental data.
Additional Contamination Investigation Report to define the condition of materials in select areas across the site which is being redeveloped as a new school
A new ‘Southern Link Road’ linking the A130 southbound to a new signalised junction on the A1245.
Upgrading the A47 single carriageway to a dual carriageway standard including access routes and a new bridge
The demolition of the existing derelict Public House (White Hart Inn) and the construction of eight 3-storey houses
The proposed development was to comprise the construction of a block of flats with the superstructure comprising 4 (central and north-eastern portion) and 3 (south-western portion) storeys.
Redevelopment included hard landscaping such as access roads driveways and pavements and soft landscaping such as communal garden and public open space.
The A27 - East of Lewes improvements worked involved the collection of 3500 plus geotechnical and geo-environmental samples from over 150 different locations
The project comprised the construction of six two-storey, semi-detached three-bedroom houses and the construction of a commercial CO-OP building in the northern section of the site.
Soils Limited was commissioned to undertake a ground investigation by the RNLI for a proposed new lifeboat station at RNLI Penlee, The Strand, Newlyn
